Hot: VFF cancels all matches of Phu Tho Club after FIFA's verdict on match-fixing

The match between Phu Tho Club and Tre Ha Noi in the 2025 national second division tournament was canceled, due to the Viet Tri Stadium team being accused by the World Football Federation (FIFA).

The full details of the proposed amendment to the Basic Act on Sport, which the non-partisan Sports Parliamentary League is aiming to submit to the current Diet session, were revealed on the 3rd. In order to protect the integrity of sports, the bill calls on the government to take measures against violence, sexual remarks, slander, and tampering such as match fixing, and will include a new independent clause.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) affirmed that it will continue to strictly handle negative behavior, after Phu Tho Club was relegated by FIFA for match-fixing.
