- CENTCOM emphasized that `We will not relent,` and stated the strikes aim to root out ISIS, protect forces, with `Our message remains strong.`
- In late December, CENTCOM reported 11 missions over a 10-day period and a Dec. 19 strike that hit 70 targets, while about 1,000 U.S. troops remain and Tom Barrack met Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa in Damascus.
