U.S. judge says he leans toward releasing some evidence for Trump search

Summary by Ground News
A Florida federal magistrate judge on Thursday said he is inclined to allow a partial unsealing of the affidavit in support of the search warrant for former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence. At a hearing in West Palm Beach, U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart rejected a blanket sealing. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart said he believes the Justice Department has not sufficiently shown that the document should remain entirely secret and ordered the Justice Department to propose redactions. The affidavit lays out the evidence for why there was probable cause to search Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort. The search is part of a federal investigation into whether Trump illegally removed documents when he left office in January 2021.
