Two teenagers killed in a single-vehicle crash in Quebec’s Eastern Townships
Police said four teens were in the vehicle and two others were seriously injured as investigators work to determine what caused the crash.
- A single-vehicle crash occurred in Saint-Georges-de-Windsor, Estrie, killing two teenagers and injuring two others around 1:30 a.m. on Route 249.
- Four occupants between the ages of 16 and 19 were in the vehicle and transported to hospital. Two teens died, while the other two sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
- Authorities deployed a collision scene reconstructionist and forensic identification technician to analyze the scene. Police spokesman Frédéric Deshaies noted the road remains temporarily closed during the investigation.
- Investigators say it is too early to speculate on the crash's cause. The deaths of a boy and a girl have been confirmed as the investigation continues.
