Turck’s Trees of Litchfield, Minnesota, provides 2025 Capitol Christmas tree

On Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025, a crew carried a 17-foot balsam fir into the Minnesota State Capitol rotunda to serve as the 2025 Capitol Christmas tree.
From more than 120 entries, the State Fair chose Turck's Trees for the 2025 Capitol Christmas tree, selected from Minnesota Christmas Tree Association members.
Noted for rich green needles, a natural conical shape, strong needle retention and notable fragrance, a 17-foot balsam fir was cut earlier this year by Turck's Trees for the Capitol.
For Turck's Trees, this marks the first time supplying the Capitol, though the multigenerational Turck family has been selling trees for more than 35 years with fourth–sixth generation family members involved.
Minnesota Grown coordinated the delivery, a partnership of the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, while Turck's Trees near Litchfield manages approximately 100 acres of Christmas and landscape trees.
