Trump tested positive for Covid few days before Biden debate, chief of staff says in new book

A new book by Donald Trump's former chief of staff claims the then-president tested positive for Covid 19 three days before his first presidential debate in September 2020 with Joe Biden. According to the Guardian's reporting of Mark Meadows's book trump received the positive test on september 26th 2020 the same day he hosted a White House ceremony and Rose Garden event For Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett. Meadows wrote that trump took the negative test as quote full permission to press on as if nothing happened. Trump on Wednesday called the story “Fake News.”
