In Torhout, West Flanders, a man was hit by a train on Saturday evening. He was reportedly walking along the railway line with two friends when they failed to notice an approaching train. The victim was struck but survived the collision. “This demonstrates once again why we must continue raising awareness. Walking on the tracks is and remains extremely dangerous,” says Thomas Baeken of Infrabel.
