Tiger Woods Returns to Florida After Rehab Stint in Switzerland, per Report
Woods returned after about a month in a Swiss rehab facility as a Florida judge ordered his prescription records shared with prosecutors.
Tiger Woods returned to Florida on Wednesday afternoon after spending a month in a rehab facility in Switzerland, with TMZ photographing the 50-year-old golfer disembarking from his private jet at Palm Beach International Airport.
Woods' decision to seek overseas treatment followed his March 27 rollover crash near Jupiter Island, Florida, where authorities determined he appeared impaired; he had two hydrocodone pills in his pocket and pleaded not guilty to DUI charges.
On Tuesday, a Florida judge ruled that Woods' prescription drug records will be made available to prosecutors but shielded from public view for privacy reasons. Woods also withdrew from consideration to captain the 2027 U.S. Ryder Cup team after missing last month's Masters.
Woods remains absent from professional competition, missing this week's PGA Championship at Aronimink and not expected to compete in next month's U.S. Open. New Ryder Cup captain Jim Furyk suggested Woods could have an advisory role with the team.
The not guilty plea Woods entered remains central to the ongoing DUI case stemming from the March accident. Prescription records will be made available to prosecutors but kept confidential, allowing his medical details to remain sealed from public disclosure.
