A boat loaded with Rohingya refugees and Bengali citizens fell off the coast of Langkawi in one of the worst incidents ever recorded. The Malaysian authorities have communicated so far seven victims and only 13 survivors. Only this year the UNHCR reported more than 600 deaths or disappeared along the routes of the Gulf of Bengal.
Rescue operations have helped rescue ten people and re-fish one body, and dozens of deaths are to be feared.
