With their own effort, discipline and a lot of heart, five Cordoba karatecas managed to stand out at the South American Karate Championship held in Recife, Brazil, proudly representing the department and Colombia. Despite the lack of institutional economic support, sportsmen Lina Puche, Nayelis Maya, Juan Andrés Ramírez, Samuel Ocampo and Juliana Perilla traveled thanks to their own resources and the support of the Karate League of Cordoba.
