Mariusz Błaszczak admitted he didn't know how the alarm signal works in Poland. "We don't know how it works. These are omissions related to disregarding defense matters," he said on the Graffiti program. He added that the RCB alerts, which were sent to the Lublin region despite the lack of a threat, were a nervous reaction by the government.
On Saturday, September 13th, residents of several counties in the Lublin Voivodeship received the first alert from the Government Security Center about a "threat of an airstrike." In Świdnik and Chełm in the Lublin region, sirens were sounded, sparking considerable emotion and doubt among residents. The Ministry of Interior and Administration published instructions on how to respond to similar situations.
