‘The Traitors’: Rob Rausch Reflects on His Best Move & Why He Had No ‘Game Plan’
Rausch said his Mafia experience and fast learning helped him adapt as he built trust and reached the final bonfire.
Rob Rausch won Season 4 of The Traitors without ever having seen the show before, telling TV Insider he had "no strategy" going into the game.
Relying on his experience playing Mafia, Rausch prioritized improvisation over preparation, saying "Better to just not have a plan and make it up as you go" because everyone has a plan until tested.
Adaptability allowed Rausch to build trust with castmates while avoiding suspicion of his Traitor role; he claimed, "I'm really good at games. I'm a fast learner, and I'm very coachable."
Murdering Colton Underwood became his most effective move; Rausch admitted, "I think I played that really well," successfully casting suspicion on Candiace Dillard Bassett instead.
Although he initially planned to play solo, Rausch recruited Eric Nam after becoming the final Traitor, reflecting, "I'm glad I picked him," to navigate the game's social requirements.
