The $5.6B epicenter of Ford's EV effort is now under construction

Ford Motor Co. has begun construction of its $5.6 billion electric vehicle manufacturing complex in Tennessee. The site, known as BlueOval City, stretches across six square miles and is three times the size of the historic Rouge complex that Henry Ford built in Michigan a century ago to make Model Ts. The Tennessee site will include a battery factory and the first all-new assembly plant that Ford has built since 1969.
