India’s top-ranked male tennis player is appealing to Chinese authorities after saying he was denied a visa to compete in an Australian Open wild-card playoff tournament later this month in Chengdu.
In the run to compete in a qualifying tournament at the Australian Open (12 January-1 February) in China, Indian ATP number one, Sumit Nagal, complained on Tuesday on X that his visa had been refused without cause by the local authorities.
