Sydney records wettest year since 1858 as Australia braces for more floods

Summary by Ground News
Sydney has received more than 2,200mm of rainfall since January. The city's previous rainfall record of 2,194mm was set in 1950. Widespread flooding across Australia has already killed more than 20 people this year. Experts say the wet weather has been driven by climate change and the La Niña phenomenon.
