Sundance Mountain Resort expects to harness new Electric Horseman Express to access new terrain in 2025-26

Bearclaw Cabin, perched at an elevation of 8,240 feet atop Sundance Mountain Resort, feels like it’s a stepladder away from heaven. From a lounge chair outside, skiers and snowboarders can soak their eyes in views of Utah Lake, the Heber Valley and the surrounding, rugged mountains.

Sundance plans to open 165 acres with new lift

Sundance announced Tuesday that by the 2026-27 season it plans to build a new, high-speed four-person lift and open up 165 acres of previously off-limits terrain. Sundance Resort Announces Upper Mountain Expansion

Sundance, Utah today revealed plans for its fifth new lift in ten years, the Electric Horseman Express. The mountain’s second detachable quad will run from near the bottom of Wildwood to the top of Red’s, rising an impressive 1,850 vertical feet in six minutes.
