Summary by Ground News
According to Indiana State Police, Justin Moore, 31, of Owensboro, Kentucky, pulled his vehicle to the side of State Route 135 at around 9:30 p.m. Monday after apparently running out of gas. A little while later, reserve officer Zachary Holly from the Palmyra Police Department arrived at the scene to help Moore. Two good Samaritans, Jacob McClanahan and a friend, also stopped to help. Police said at one point, Holly asked Moore if there were any weapons in the car. When Moore entered his vehicle, police said he then quickly turned around brandishing a shotgun. The officer continued to return fire and shot Moore killing him.
