The speaker of the Lithuanian Sejm registered a proposal to exclude the leader of the far-right Zarya Nieman Remigius Zhemaitaitis from the Lithuanian delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, as well as the Economic Committee.

On Monday, the Speaker of the Seimas, Saulius Skvernelis, registered a proposal to remove Remigijus Žemaitaitis from the ranks of deputy members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and the Economics Committee. Such an initiative was taken after R. Žemaitaitis, taking into account the conclusions of the State Security Department (VSD), did not receive permission to work with classified information.
