Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorski warned Ukraine today that the fastest way to lose the support of the West is tolerating corruption.
The G5 Defence Ministers and EU representatives coordinate a strengthened response to support Ukraine vis-à-vis Russia. However, internal challenges such as corruption threaten the stability and effectiveness of this international support.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk assured that Poland has no intention of abandoning its support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. He also noted that corruption in Ukrainian institutions could seriously hinder building international solidarity with Kyiv.
Radosław Sikorski pointed out the potential consequences of the corruption scandal in Ukraine on Polsat News. He emphasized that whether they will materialize will depend on Kyiv's actions.
"If Ukraine tolerates corruption, it will not enter the European Union (EU). The EU demands honesty and respect for the rules," the Polish foreign minister told Polsat television.
If Ukraine were to tolerate corruption, it would not join the European Union, said Deputy Prime Minister Radosław Sikorski.
