Zelenskyy has said that "the territorial issue is the most difficult", as Russia refuses to budge on its demand of Kyiv giving up areas of the eastern Donbas region. Meanwhile, Ukraine is also steadfast on the region's independence from Moscow's stronghold
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the peace plan for Ukraine after talks with the Americans has a “better look”, but the territorial issue remains the most difficult.
Witkoff spoke to Zelenski hours before leaving for Moscow to meet with the Russian president.
