Benin's new president, Romuald Wadagni, vowed at his inauguration on Sunday to confront rising security threats and to ensure economic growth translated into concrete improvements in people's lives.
Declared the winner of the presidential election held on April 12 in Benin, Romuald Wadagni will be sworn in and officially installed in his new role during a ceremony organized this Sunday, May 24, in Cotonou. Approximately fifteen foreign delegations will attend, including representatives from the three countries of the Alliance of Sahel States – Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso.
