The meeting was devoted, according to the actual instructions, to the updating and detailed formulation of the autonomy initiative for the Sahara within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty, in compliance with the decision expressed by Mohamed VI in his address to the Moroccans on 31 October, following the adoption of United Nations Security Council resolution 2797.

On the orders of King Mohammed VI, a meeting chaired by the sovereign's advisers, Mr. Taib Fassi Fihri, Mr. Omar Azziman and Mr. Fouad Ali El Himma, took place this Monday, November 10, 2025 in the Royal Cabinet, with the heads of the national parties represented in the two Houses of Parliament, in the presence of the Minister of the Interior and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad.
