Woods gets a fully guaranteed $18 million deal as Kansas City secures both first-round picks before training camp.
On Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs signed first-round draft pick Peter Woods to a four-year, $18 million fully guaranteed rookie contract from Clemson.
With this signing, the Chiefs have nearly finalized their entire 2026 draft class, including fellow first-round pick Mansoor Delane, who reached terms on approximately $42 million.
Woods, a first-team All-ACC selection, recorded 84 tackles and five sacks during his three-year Clemson career; head coach Andy Reid compared his "quickness" to NFL legend Aaron Donald.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Woods received the highest upfront percentage of a signing bonus in Chiefs' first-round history, with a fifth-year team option for 2030.
Kansas City is banking on Woods to develop into a cornerstone piece of their defense, where he will learn under three-time Super Bowl champion Chris Jones.
