Report: Chiefs, Cornerback L'Jarius Sneed Reunite on One-Year Deal
L'Jarius Sneed returns after Tennessee released him, giving the Chiefs an experienced cornerback as they rebuild a secondary that lost three starters.
On Monday, the Kansas City Chiefs signed veteran cornerback L'Jarius Sneed to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million, reuniting him with the franchise where he won two Super Bowls.
The Tennessee Titans released Sneed in March, freeing up $11.4 million in cap space after persistent knee and quad injuries limited him to 12 games during his two-year tenure.
During his first four seasons in Kansas City, Sneed recorded 10 interceptions, 40 passes defended, and 6.5 sacks while helping the franchise secure back-to-back Super Bowl titles.
Following the trade of cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams, Kansas City drafted LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane to significantly overhaul its secondary room this offseason.
Kansas City aims to return to the playoffs in 2026, with Sneed expected to compete for a starting role under defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo during mandatory minicamp later this June.
