Red Onion inmate found guilty of second degree murder in May 2018 death of fellow inmate

An inmate at the Red Onion State Prison was found guilty of second degree murder and strangulation on Friday after a week-long trial in the Wise County Circuit Court. The jury found 52-year-old William A. Saunders, of Danville, Virginia guilty on charges stemming from the death of fellow inmate, Donald Wayne Gary at Wallens Ridge State Prison in May 2018.
