More than 60K Pounds of Cooked Chicken Recalled Due to Undeclared Allergen
Suzanna's Kitchen recalled 62,550 pounds of chicken after mislabeling soy allergen, with FSIS urging restaurants to discard any remaining product to prevent allergic reactions.
- Suzanna's Kitchen is recalling approximately 62,550 pounds of bone-in, breaded chicken portions produced on Oct. 16, 2025, for misbranding due to undeclared soy, FSIS said.
- The mislabeling was traced to 18-pound cases containing four units per case labeled 'FULLY COOKED BREADED CHICKEN PORTIONS' with case code P-1380 126237 B30851 23:11 K04 and USDA establishment number P-1380.
- For questions, call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-MPHotline or file an online complaint; FSIS says no adverse effects are confirmed but advises contacting a healthcare provider.
- FSIS is conducting recall effectiveness checks and will post distribution lists, while consumers and media can contact Dawn Duncan and Craig Pate, and establishments must discard affected items.
- FSIS warns some recalled Suzanna's Kitchen chicken may remain in restaurant refrigerators or freezers, urging foodservice establishments nationwide not to serve it to protect people with soy allergy.
