At around 4:00 p.m. on the 13th, a police sergeant in his 30s from the Chiba Prefectural Police Asahi Police Station's Community Affairs Division found three suspicious light passenger cars parked on the sidewalk in Kaburagi, Asahi City, Chiba Prefecture, and while questioning the man in one of the cars, a man of Southeast Asian descent drove off in another car toward the sergeant. The sergeant fired three shots at the car.
