Poland plans to open two border crossings with Belarus on Monday, which it closed in September in response to joint military exercises between its eastern neighbor and Russia and the incursion of Russian drones into Polish airspace, the Interior Ministry in Warsaw announced on Thursday evening.
However, the Polish Ministry of the Interior has specified that the passage of Bobrowniki will allow the crossing of trucks and passenger cars already registered in the European Union, Switzerland or European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries.
With Poland promising to open two border crossings with Belarus next week, one of the leaders of the national road hauliers' association Linava says it could have a major impact on Lithuanian hauliers' business. According to Oleg Tarasov, unless a way is found to restore its competitive advantage, Lithuanian logistics will be ruined.
