Pac-12 signs another TV deal, this time with USA Sports
- On Thursday, the Pac-12 Conference announced USA Sports will televise 22 football games, 50 men’s basketball games, and up to 10 women’s basketball games beginning next year.
- After losing most programs, the Pac-12 Conference was reduced to only Washington State and Oregon State and rebuilt by adding Texas State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Boise State, Colorado State and Utah State, with the TV deal providing stability.
- The deal runs through the 2030-31 season and Pac-12 Enterprises will produce the telecasts for USA Sports while some football games will also air on The CW, CBS Sports Network and CBS.
- The deal is the first media-rights partnership for USA Sports, which Nov. 11 joined Versant, a company spun from Comcast/NBCUniversal that includes USA Network, The Golf Channel and CNBC.
- The conference will be back to nine teams for 2026-27 as it rebuilds, adding Gonzaga , Dallas Baptist , Northern Illinois and Southern Utah , while Teresa Gould, Pac-12 commissioner, called the relaunch `where tradition meets transformation`.
