Nord Stream attacks highlight vulnerability of undersea pipelines in west

Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines began to leak from three separate places at around the same time in waters near Denmark. Leaks have led to a significant release of methane, a potent greenhouse gas which traps heat in the atmosphere. EU said the incidents were caused by sabotage, but stopped short of directly accusing Russia.
