NJ towns are now allowed to designate open container areas

Gov. Phil Murphy signed into law a bill that allows municipalities to designate outdoor areas where people can drink alcoholic beverages. Towns will be allowed to designate the entire municipality or a section of it as an open container area. The bill was sponsored by Sens. Vin Gopal, D-Monmouth, and Linda Greenstein,D-Middlesex.
