Nearly 20M Filipinos poor in 2021 – PSA

NEARLY 20 million Filipinos joined the ranks of the poor in 2021, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Monday.According to the Family Income and Expenditure Survey preliminary findings for 2021, the population living in poverty increased to 18.1 percent, or 19.99 million Filipinos earning less than the poverty line.These people were earning less than the poverty line of around P12,030 per month for a household of five.The PSA said p…
