Starting Saturday, NBA Referees to Get New Tech Upgrade: Here's What It Means
- Starting Saturday, NBA referees will begin using headsets during regular-season games for the first time, the league announced on Friday.
- The NBA tested the system since 2022 at the G League Winter Showcase, NBA Summer League and preseason games, while similar technology has been used in other leagues around the world.

- Phase one runs into January and a second phase would begin then, running at least through the All-Star break in February, the league announced.
