HAVANA (AP) — On Friday, Cuban deputies approved a reform of the Constitution to eliminate the requirement that he should be under 60 years old to be elected president of the country, a condition that was incorporated into the Magna Carta following the mandates of Fidel and Raúl Castro.
This limit had been set at 60 years, for a first candidacy, by the 2019 Constitution.
