Motorcyclists commemorate 75 years of Moluccan freedom struggle

A group of around 800 motorcyclists commemorated 75 years of independence for the Moluccas today with a ride from Middelburg to Krimpen aan den IJssel. About 800 motorcyclists rode in an impressive procession through Brabant on Saturday. They rode from Middelburg on the A58 to Breda and after a long stop on the A16 to Krimpen aan de IJssel. The procession attracted a lot of attention along the road and on viaducts. This ride commemorates the death of the former president of the Republic of South Moluccas, Chris Soumokil, every year.
