- In an X post, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said she was shocked and saddened, confirmed the state will cover all treatment expenses and ordered the police to arrest the culprits immediately.
- Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage as part of the ongoing investigation, and Puri Superintendent of Police Pinak Mishra said investigators are optimistic about a breakthrough soon, ANI quoted.
