Menlo Park Approves $1,000 Fines, Jail Time In Illegal Fireworks Crackdown

MENLO PARK (BCN) – Menlo Park’s City Council cracked down on illegal fireworks ahead of the Fourth of July, approving new laws on Tuesday night.The City Council passed a temporary urgency ordinance, effective immediately, in which people who sell or use illegal fireworks could face $1,000 fines and/or up to six months in jail.
