This weekend, the Fira Gran Via in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat is hosting the thirty-first Manga Barcelona, the country’s most important Japanese culture fair. What began in April 1995 as a small gathering at the Estació de França has become one of the most important Japanese popular culture events in the world over the years. Last year, 167,000 visitors attended, an absolute record.
