Lowell City Council supports motion on school safety

LOWELL — Following an alleged knife assault that resulted in the arrest of a Lowell High School student last week and the subsequent community uproar, the City Council is looking to school leadership for more information about school safety.The council on Tuesday approved a motion by Councilor Rodney Elliott requesting Superintendent of Schools Joel Boyd provide a report on measures to ensure safety in all the schools.
