The Competition Council conducted unannounced inspections at the headquarters of six large retail chains operating on the Romanian food market, namely METRO, Selgros, Auchan, Carrefour, Kaufland and Mega Image. The reason? The competition wanted to see to what extent international retailers comply with the law in their relations with suppliers, especially those in the dairy market.
