La Moncloa. 06/10/2022. Minister Planas announces that the Spanish trawler fleet will be able to fish in 41 of the 87 areas banned by the European Commission [Government/News]

06 October 2022. The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has announced that the European Commission last night confirmed in writing the non-application of the regulation on vulnerable marine ecosystems from 0 to 400 metres depth, which means that the Spanish trawling fleet will be able to maintain activity in 41 of the 87 areas where fishing had been banned.
