Kroger Queen City Championship Presented by P&G Par Scores
Ko and Doherty each shot 66 as the cut line settled at 2-over and Lottie Woad posted the tournament-low round, officials said.
On Friday, Jin Young Ko and Amanda Doherty shared the lead at 7-under par at the Kroger Queen City Championship at Maketewah Country Club after Ko carded a bogey-free 66.
The tournament relocated this season to historic Maketewah Country Club, a classic Donald Ross design that transformed the championship into a 'survival test' with thick rough and firm fairways. Only 27 players broke par Thursday.
England's Lottie Woad sits one stroke back at 6-under after firing a tournament-low 64 with 10 fairways found. Ko and Thitikul remain in contention at 4-under following strong second-round finishes.
Officials established the cut line at 2-over par, eliminating golfers tied for 65th or worse after the challenging conditions at Maketewah tested the field through 36 holes.
Nelly Korda warned that missed fairways become increasingly dangerous if officials tighten pin locations on Maketewah's undulating greens heading into the weekend. "If players navigate the rough and get to the green, it's still a tough test," Korda said.
