Along with Lotte, who celebrates her 25th birthday at this year's PÖFF, one of the beloved character's creators, director and cinematographer Janno Põldma, is also celebrating her important 75th birthday. Põldma spoke to the cultural program "OP" about his journey into the world of cartoons and the fate of the dog girl.
“We’re going to eat with Andrus and Heik, preferably at an Asian restaurant,” cinematographer and director Janno Põldma (74) described in the cultural program “OP” how the scenarios for the Lotte the Dog Girl films were born. “We sit at the table and until the food is brought to us, it’s the most productive time.” Even before the food is brought to the table, the air around Kivirähki, Ernitsa and Põldma is thick with Lotte ideas.
