Jamie Vardy's Italian villa is robbed for £80,000 worth of valuables in shocking raid
Thieves stole £80,000 in jewellery, cash, and a luxury watch after watching Vardy's family and timing the burglary during his Serie A match in Rome.
- During Sunday’s match in Rome, Jamie Vardy, the former England striker and Cremonese player, had valuables worth £80,000 stolen from his Salo villa while he was away.
- Police say the burglars had been watching the family and timed the raid for when he was away, carried out by a gang of three thieves, Salo police said.
- CCTV footage shows one individual entering through an open window, and the thieves spent several minutes inside before escaping with jewellery, cash and a Patek Philippe watch.
- The household has been left shaken after the incident, as a woman described as the babysitter was inside during the raid and Vardy's friends discovered items on the floor.
- Vardy moved to Cremonese in the summer and has been settling in Italy, playing eight times and scoring twice since his transfer from Leicester after 13 seasons on a 12 month contract.
