Sudan Withdraws Al Jazeera Broadcast License Citing 'Unprofessional Conduct' - The Media Line

Sudan has withdrawn the broadcast license for the Arabic-language public affairs television network of Al Jazeera, Al Jazeera Mubasher. The credentials of two Al Jazeera journalists based in Sudan, reporter Mohammed Omar and photographer Badawi Bashir, also were revoked. The network has devoted a great deal of coverage to pro-democracy protests being held against the involvement of the military in the government.
