In their own words: Indigenous people in Toronto on what reconciliation means to them

Summary by Ground News
More than 150,000 First Nations, Mtis and Inuit children were forced to attend residential schools between the 1870s and 1997. Estimates of how many children died while at those schools vary, but experts agree that number is in the thousands. The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is a time to reflect and remember all the Indigenous children who didn't make it home like she did.
