- Victims included Emily Ruiz, 30; Lucille Pinkney, 59; Herman Pinkney, 38; and Ana Morel, 43; seven injured survivors suffered trauma, with several trapped beneath the truck.
- Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg warned intoxicated drivers will be prosecuted and Judge April Newbauer said Hyden valued human life `slightly, if at all`.
