Grand Forks man pleads not guilty in East Grand Forks apartment gunfire case

POLK COUNTY, Minn. — A Grand Forks man waived his Thursday, Sept. 11, omnibus hearing and pleaded not guilty to assault charges for allegedly firing a gun inside an occupied East Grand Forks apartment. Marko Dadok Ruot, 44, faces three counts of felony second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. The crime has a mandatory minimum three-year sentence and a maximum seven-year sentence.
