The Brazilian government announced this afternoon the National Climate Change Plan, also called Climate Plan, which provides for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions between 59% and 67% by 2035. The objective is to achieve a balance between the amount of greenhouse gases emitted and removed from the atmosphere by 2050, in accordance with the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
The initiative is organised in three complementary phases: mitigation, adaptation and cross-cutting strategies for climate action
