The annual inflation rate in Germany remained unchanged at 2.3 percent, according to a preliminary estimate by the statistical office Destatis, staying above the symbolic 2 percent mark for the fourth month in a row. Service prices were up 3.5 percent year-on-year, while food prices rose 1.2 percent.
